Engineering Challenge - Hill

Task

Build a vehicle using Lego Technix that can climb a hill with gradually increasing slope. Attempt to reach the "maximum gradient" point on the hill.

Rules

• Only one RCX can be used per vehicle, and it must be attached to the vehicle.
• Only one motor can be used.
• Any gear or wheel combination can be used.
• Human intervention is only allowed to straighten vehicles on the hill.

Report

Write a brief report which must include the following:

• The height your vehicle achieved during the trial.
• A diagram or photo showing the construction of the vehicle.
• A diagram of the gear configuration used.
• Labels showing the number of teeth on each gear, where the motor and wheel attach.
• A description the gear configuration.

Also answer these specific questions:

• Why did this configuration work so well?
• Could the design have been improved?
