Create a report investigating the question "What is a robot?"

Notes

Your report should address some or all of the following questions:

1. What is the difference between a robot and a machine?

2. Wikipedia claims robots tend to have some or all of the following characteristics:

• they are a physical machine (they are made of metal and/or plastic);
• they move around (as in, they travel from location to location);
• they have moving parts (for example, a mechanical limb);
• they sense and intentionally manipulate their environment; and
• they exhibit intelligent behaviour, especially behaviour which mimics humans or other animals.

Do all robots have all five of these characteristics? What's the fewest characteristics a robot can have and still be a robot?

3. Can a living system be a robot? Is a human being a robot?
